I am not going to give you a magic template. I am going to walk through the same tabs that sit on my own CV, in the same order, and tell you what hiring people actually do with each one. Then the part that is not a tab on the PDF, but they will still look: your website and your LinkedIn.
A customer service CV has one job. Make it obvious you can listen, stay calm, own the outcome, and finish. Everything else is decoration. I have been doing this work for more than fifteen years. I live in Haarlem. I do client service in Polish and English. That is the person the paper has to sound like.
Personal details, languages, skills
Name, email, phone, city. That is it. Use the email you actually answer. Mine is info@kozdrach.com because that is where work mail lands. City is enough. You do not owe a stranger your street.
If you have a site, put it next to your name. kozdrach.com sits on mine so they do not have to hunt.
List the languages you can really work in. On my CV that is Polish and English, because those are the ones I use at the desk every day. If you also work in Dutch, say so. If you only read a language, say that. Do not invent stars or letters you cannot defend on a call.
Put the real tools of the desk first: listening, order work, problem solving, the CRM or ERP you have actually used. Skip “passionate.” Skip “team player.” If you cannot point to a week where you used the skill, leave it off.
Profile and employment
Five to eight lines. Who you are at work, how long you have been doing it, what you take responsibility for. They already know you want the job. They need to know if they can put you on a frustrated client at 16:40 on a Friday.
Newest job first. Title, company, city, dates. Then bullets that sound like a person who did the work. “I called when the date slipped.” “I owned the complaint until it was closed.” Numbers help when they are true. Do not invent a percentage.
Lead with the customer-facing work even if the contract said coordinator or country manager. The person reading is scanning for phones, email, cases, complaints. If a role was mostly admin, say that and keep it shorter.
The rest of the paper, and what they Google
Hobbies: one or two lines, or nothing. Education: school, title, years, city. I keep Chopin on mine because I finished it. References: available on request. Do not dump names on a public PDF.
Then the tab that is not on the paper. They will type your name. LinkedIn should match the PDF: same title, same dates, same story. A simple site is a portfolio. You do not need a shop. You need one place that is yours, that loads, and that does not contradict the CV.
Read the whole thing once as if you are the person who will sit next to you. Would you trust this CV with a real human on the line. If a line is still performing instead of showing the work, cut it.
If you want a feel for the desk behind the paper: the first week, vendors and the clock, troubleshooting without a script.
How can I help you today?
I won’t sell you a poem. Customer service is hard. If you want someone who stays calm when it gets loud, and still treats the person like a person — write to info@kozdrach.com. I am in Haarlem. I reply.
